Curated AI Characters

Each ByteStar AI character is the result of careful human coding, curation and refinement to hone a unique backstory, personality, style, and target audience. This ensures that all content maintains high character consistency and quality. All are deliberately non-human and fantastical to avoid the "uncanny valley" and ensure clarity as to their (non-)humanity.

Human-AI Collaboration

ByteStars chooses collaboration over automation. The humans behind ByteStars are skilled musicians with decades of real-world experience, contributing to the depth and authenticity of our characters' output. Prioritizing quality over quantity, we aim to produce compelling artistic content that resonates. All content for general release has had extensive, thoughtful and authentic human touch.

A New Creative Universe

Inspired by the imaginative universes created by the creative cultural universes of the 20th century that have been the source of endless new stories or modern mythology, we envision ByteStars as part of a new creative era for the AI age. The goal is for ByteStars to be a source of wonder and inspiration for generations to come and to explore and push the boundaries of this exciting frontier.

  2. The content found at and has the title
  3. Your license will land in the NFT assests section of your wallet within minutes.

All newly licensed content will be personally checked out by the ByteStars team and shared on the official ByteStars BlueSky account.

Remember, non-monetized sharing and personal use of derivative ByteStars content is always free and encouraged (with attribution to us)! This Commercial Usage License is only required if you are planning to make money from your derived content. The license needs to be renewed yearly for each piece of content you are monetizing.

Jam Sessions are launching in mid-2025

ByteStars Jam Sessions will be an interactive experience for you to:

Some technical things to know:

  • All Jam Sessions will be emphemeral - meaning that no personal data or chat content will be kept on our servers once the Jam is closed.
  • To share a song or video with the world, it will be posted to the main ByteStars Audius (for audio) or Odysee (for video) accounts and the content will be stored there for sharing as an unlisted link. We may monitor these and will remove inappropriate content if found, but also promote great content into our main public feeds.
  • This whole experience will be highly cutting-edge and experimental! Expect bugs, glitches and general weirdness at times, especially in the early days!
